Jamie Leondaris will be so proud.</p> <p>Basically I finally did this because I wanted a place to post my subjective opinions.</p> <p>For my first trick, I will post an interview with a bloke called Ti West. He is an American filmmaker and for some reason I have a strange man crush on him*. The first film I saw of his was in about 2009 = ‘The House of the Devil”. I fucking love this film and you should check it out if you haven’t heard of it; and if you did see it and you hated it you should get your own subjective oppinion medium posting place and post shit about it instead of soaking up all my words with your stinky eyeyballs. soo  I just watched his latest film ‘The Innkeepers’. It is (like THOTD) a slow suspense horror film with strong character development which builds up and up and up into a full on showdown/reveal. I can not do these films justice by shitting on some crap forum to you, so go check them out. If i were to pick my favourite out tho it’d easily take House of the Devil, i dunno maybe satanic cults are more my thing than ghosts or spirits?? not sure. But ill defiantly be ‘wacking it’ to the thought of both films tonight. so WIN WIN i guess?</p> <p><strong><span>Ah almost forgot:</span></strong></p> <p>Have a listen to the video I posted as well, it seems that he has a lot of respect for fellow filmmakers and is actually grounded in reality unlike many directors and producers (even at his level and lower). I am referring to people I know and have talked to who make crap films about ‘hot topics’ such as disability, indigenous relations, the elderly or children. Sure films concerning the above can be great and moving etc; I just feel that it is a niche market that just screams for attention and when people come along looking for films to make they go with the obvious choice because they know people will look. Most of the time these films (especially at amateur level) are just poor and have little to no script or talent what so ever. I would rant more but i am tired and would just be repeating myself. Look forward to that….</p> <p><strong>*</strong> crush in this situation means I just enjoy his films a lot and the way he seems to go about film making in general.
